My Throne Palpatine arrived from Amazon after a bunch of delivery issues in the network. Lucky that it was delivered and not refunded like another item lost in their network at that time.

Have no delay notice on Cody yet but I guess should expect it soon. Was suppose to arrive on the 7th but hasn't shipped. Website says would be delivered to me by the 13th if I ordered another today so hopefully the delay is short?

My Palps finally showed up today too. It was originally scheduled to arrive before the new year.

For those wondering, I pulled out my old Palpatine and was really surprised. I don't know what version this is, but the old one I had has a much better cloak. The hood is stitched to stay in place and keep the shape.

Took a while to even get the hood to look somewhat ok. It just keeps puffing up and not sitting on his head.



However, I went and put a small piece of double sided tape on the inside top of the hood so that the hood will sit on the top of his head and it looks much better.

So from your photos, it looks like the only change is that they cheaped out on the hood (the head sculpts look almost identical with the new one maybe being a bit longer in height, but that could be just an illusion).

It looks like for the hood, sleeve caps, and the front of his robe they didn't bother to do the extra stitching this time around.

yeah, that's my thought too. However, I don't remember what version of the old Palpatine my old one is.

Yep it looks pretty obvious they didn't bother to do the finishing stitches on the soft goods. Definitely looks cheap.

Good thing I was mainly getting it for the chair and also got it for the lower price when it was priced wrong.
