Not to mention the recent Disney+ wave had mostly new sculpts.
The difference is these are all comic base figures and DIsney + figures based on a shows have a broader appeal. Live action based toys are harder to reuse molds.

From the Toynewsi article: "You can't purchase this figure directly but can purchase Superman, as the red boots and classic symbol are a chase variant of this wave"
It's a regular figure with a chase version. It's not a "blind box" at all.
It's 2 different version of the same character. Back in the day logos and costumer go through slight variations. Depends on the artist.

I haven't read Action COmics #1 myself but i heard that the logo should be switched.

I was calling it a
"version" of blind boxing because you effectively don't actually know what you'll be getting and there's no way to guarantee it. I don't literally mean it comes in a closed box.

Other than that, I'm saying potato, and you're saying potato...

Re: McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse toyline

Just to be sure, they were in stores here months ago? Online says they had a June release in the US.

It's not. It's called a chase figure. It's short packed version of supposely the same character. You go to a store and you see what you are getting. it's not a closed box.
It's nothing new really. Mcfarlane had these gold, bronze edition back in the day. And Toybiz also did it for Marvel Legends.

Re: McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse toyline

Thanks for the info everyone.

I went back to May, saw no sightings so I thought maybe.

It's difficult to figure things out when you know nothing about a toy line.
