Looks like TRU has updated the flyer on the GI Joes and it appears to be 50% off on selected Joes.

Don't know if D&D, GOTG and Indiana Jones are still part of the 50% off deal. For those that bought the figures in advance hope you are able to get a refund as they are considered collectibles and are final sale.

Too bad there are only a couple of big discounts. The majority are 18-20% off. Some are between 20-30% off and a select few are more than that. Honestly it, so far, hasn't been any better than normal sales.



If you had asked me last year which big retailer would have the best sales during Black Friday I would have said probably Amazon, and TRU would have been a distant last.


Fast forward a year and TRU is currently, in my opinion, the best place for Black Friday deals. Amazon avoids being last only because Walmart seems to have not bothered with any discounts for action figures for Black Friday.

TRU is undoubtedly very very eager to clear out old stock before they are forced to put it on the clearance table. They've shrunken their actual boy's aisle allocated for toys at my store down to 50% of what it used to be, so their shelf space is a lot more limited these days.

And yeah, Amazon's sale for Marvel Legends has so far been dull and unexciting. 18% is about what I've seen for items on my wishlist and I can get a better deal when TRU issues that 25% coupon once in a while. I certainly am not biting on any of Amazon's sales right now, since traditionally they offer better discounts around the first two weeks of December, even into the third week too. I think these December sale offerings partly depends on how much stock they can sell away for Black Friday.

Yea TRU really came through this.year surprisingly. The deals overall this year are pretty mid. Too bad we can't have sales like the u.s. I've been looking at their deals and have been thinking, must be nice..$8 4k blu rays of movies that came out this year, great sales on video games, and better sales on action figures than we got overall.
