There is no such thing as “street dates” for figures. It’s not like video games or movies. It’s a general timeframe.

Some times Legends are shipped in cases marked with a street date and retail stores like TRU do adhere to them. Usually for waves that include figures from big secretive movie releases. Infinity War and Endgame definitely had street dates and TRU refused to sell to people before that date.

Tell that to “Triple Force Friday” and us lined up outside EBGames/TRU

True but I meant more in line of you being able to walk into any retailer and being able to pick up whatever figure you want on that day guaranteed. It's always been the wild west with action figures without Hasbro etc. holding any schedule or anyone accountable.

We've seen plenty of retailers like Walmart break street dates by accident and getting them out early. Or the opposite spectrum where they are really late by the "supposed" street date due to poor Hasbro distribution.

Lol but we know that some of those Mandalorian figures leaked out a month early at Walmart if you got lucky. I sure did.

Getting an employee to break street date is just a game of finding a clueless employee to override the UPC code on their cash register. Hell, I’ve done that with video games... stock the shelves without checking the box. Nothing magical about it, but the item is still street dated.

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

So the original question was, is anyone seeing much of the Fantastic 4 wave currently?

Nothing yet, EB has states that Hasbro has only shipped half the preorders and the rest should be here closer to January.

Winnipeg reporting in, got my case in yesterday (Friday). Manager said they didn’t ship enough to fill preorders so he’s fulfilling based on earliest preorder.
