Matchbox Robotech figures?

Hey,

Anyone an expert on this stuff? I just picked up a 2 Battle Pods from a local guy. One is an officers and the other is a regular one. The officers is missing one of its "hands", and the other one has both its antenna's but they places where they connect are a little damaged. Paid $40 for them.

Good deal?

Anyone know what is the likely hood of finding a extra hand for the Officers Battle pod?

There isn't a huge third party market for these, the way there are, let's say, vintage Transformers, so trying to put a value on things is a crap shoot. Good deal? I don't know. I'd say no, even if it is only $40 you spent, because I suspect you will be hard pressed to find stuff like extra hands. You would be better off buying complete figures for something like this.

A few weeks ago, I bought some 3 3/4 Matchbox figures from a guy on TFW2005. Here's his thread. I see he has a complete Battle Pod and even the Officer's Pod. I doubt he'll just sell you a hand, but you might be able to work out a deal for the complete ones.

Thanks for the link to the other guys B/S thread. I don't think I'll get any more of this stuff. Just bought it because I remember it from my childhood and it wasn't really that expensive. I almost didn't buy it, because the Officer Battlepod is missing a hand, because I know I will never be able to complete it.
