Disney Purchases Lucasfilm For $4.05B Star Wars VII Coming In 2015
A new movie means new characters and new toys. What do you think this means for the future of Star Wars?

WOW! There's no stopping the mouse empire now. First Pixar, then Marvel now Star Wars...what's next...The Transformers ??? That could happen too if they buy Hasbro too so ya never know. Poor George Lucas only gets 4 billion dollars, how will his great great great great great great great grandchildren ever survive ?

I don't think they have the Henson Workshop, do they? Pretty sure it's just Muppet Show Muppets. Henson still owns Fraggle Rock and Sesame Workshop has the Sesame Street Muppets.
As far as Lucasfilm, I am not sure what to think. Disney will soon own the everything! Honestly, it doesn't surprise me though. With all the Star Wars stuff at Disney Parks lately (particularly the Muppet Star Wars figures), what bigger clue is there? But with Kathleen Kennedy at the helm for Lucasfilm and Disney's cheque book, I hope to be seeing some very cool things coming.

Apparently Lucas was serious when he said he wanted to retire.

Re: Lucasfilm Purchased by Disney - Plans For Star Wars Episode 7 Announced
I think it's great news. In 2015 my son will be 8 - 9 years old (depending when they release it) and that's a great age to get hooked. It will make buying toys fun for me as well. I just hope they bring back mark Hamill as an older Jedi to teach younger Jedi. I doubt Harrison would be in it but I think the franchise can survive without him. Then again, Disney now also owns Indiana Jones so if he ever wants to make another Indy movie they have leverage for at least a small cameo in Star Wars.
Personally I think they should treat Indiana Jones like Jams Bond and have new actors pick up the Indian Jones character, starting with Joe Flanigan.

This is great news IMO. Look at what happened when Disney bought Marvel. We got the Avengers movie, one of the best superhero movies of all time.
