TRU sale is less than appealing.

Went in store today, n.barrie, and they barely marked any of the specials. SE/Timber and Duke wasn't even marked as being on sale.

They had about 20 python patrol troopers marked on "clearance" from $45 to $40... Seems like a slap in the face to say your clearance price is still above the going retail price for a figure from any other big box store.

It's a sad state of affairs for Canadian collectors. Happy that Pulse removed the shipping on $75usd+ orders as I feel like this will end up being the place I order from the most now.

I saw someone post that the pulse free shipping is going to be permanent going forward for Canadian buyers and is site wide including preorders.

Re did the vamp order with my buddy to get the free shipping.

It also means I'll be buying from them when they do their big sales events to hopefully get the warmers that noone wants to pay full price on.

TRU was a gong show today. Products were not scanning at the sale price. Huge line ups, staff going through the flyer for every item to price override at the till.

Free shipping on orders over $75 US
$6.99 Shipping for orders under $75.

Per my conversation with a Hasbro rep. Appears to be a permanent change.

Glad I couldn't swing by my local store earlier today. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better story.


It wasn't just the store though. I went online and they have the GOTG Star-Lord helmet for 50% off. So I tried to order it because it says home delivery only. I go in, but I had to change my location because for some reason it thinks I'm in Toronto. So I change my postal code and it then says sorry we don't ship to your location.



WHAT? You will ship to home in Toronto, but not Ottawa?


I can only think that they don't have any stock in store locally so I guess they don't want to have to spend money shipping from somewhere else.

Same here. The items were scanning at regular price not the 50% off price, and I had to get the cashier to inform the manager, then they had to look up each Indy figure and DnD figure on the website to verify the price, etc. etc. It took a long while to get it sorted out, and people behind me in the line were none too happy to wait through this tiresome process.

Hopefully it'll be all taken care of by tomorrow for anyone still looking to buy some Indy or DnD figures.
