How much did you get dinged, if you don't mind my asking? And the reason I'm asking is that I've got a 200$ order coming in from them next month (gotta make sure I'm ready to fork over the gov't's 'protection' money, lol)

$108 CAD on $390 USD, which comes out to about 20%, so way more than just GST & PST. There may also have been some brokerage fees, because even though it went through USPS and Canada Post, the whole thing was managed by FedEx, so I bet they added extra bullshit. I don't know the full breakdown, because I'm still waiting for the delivery, but I can see the total charge on the Canada Post tracking.

BBTS is the worst for that, I almost always get hit with customs on their orders. One reason I stopped using them.

Yeah, after the shipping fees, I was already debating if the Black Friday "deal" was really worth it. After these customs fees, definitely not. Especially since they were all impulse buys and "Why not? They're so cheap!"

Completely fair points about shipping and duties. I tend to use the Pile of Loot and ship in smaller batches, so I don't usually get hit for much but 20% is rough when you don't expect it.

The 60th figure prices have been corrected now anyhow.

I'm only just starting to weigh the pros/cons between BBTS and Pulse with the shipping changes. Trying to figure out the following scenario: you place an order that qualifies for free shipping at Pulse, but they start mailing it out in pieces as it's ready. Do you get charged shipping on each batch then, or not at all?

Huge boxes valued at high amounts is pretty hard to over look which is why I'm guessing most people have been getting unlucky? That is unless small orders with lower items get dinged often too.
