Not sure if they are exactly the same but they have all been released at one point before. All 4 use the same body mold and the only difference in bodies is Venkman's legs below the knee. He doesn't have his pants tucked into his boots.


No proton streams, no traps, no ecto goggles, no PKE meters, no figure stands..... no nothing, just a BAF part for a glow in the dark GB logo. Yup.


Oh yeah and Ray's head sculpt is sooooooo bad. Looks like his head was stuck in a vice.

I picked up a set. Couldn't resist. I love this movie. And yes, Ray's head is squished heh.

Hey turtle power eh, which Matty ones are you referring too that have more accessories? I wonder how much they go for nowadays. If you have a pic, that would help.

And how's that new Diamond Select set?

The matty sets are still available on their site. $50 US, so $100 US plus shipping and Egon's pants are wrong.

they are the 30th anniversary 2 packs, they come with proton streams and glow in the dark figure stands. I wish I had of picked up some of the earlier Matty releases that came with ghosts and traps

Personally I don't have any of the Diamond Select GB figures, but they are pretty nice. Only downfall is the Bill Murray head sculpt is probably better on these Mattel figures. I want them, but I need to budget as I'm taking on the task of building a 1:1 proton pack with light and sound. As much as I love Star Wars, Marvel and TMNT...Ghostbusters was the first franchise to really pull me in.

Ouch $100 US, I got lucky and got the set of four of these for $69 tax included. This was due to pricing error as the shelf reported them for less than MSRP.

Ghostbusters was my favorite movie as a kid, so of course I had to own these all. i was able to exchange three DC Multiverse figures for most of the team, and just picked up Egon today to complete. The shortcomings don't bother me as now I have the whole set of the first superhero team I became a fan of. I did own a Diamond Select Peter Venkman for a while, but the proton strem snapped out of the package and gradually pieces started chipping off the thing, so I trashed it and went with these instead.

LMAO, That was one of the first things that went through my mind when I picked them up.

I'm going to ask my buddy in the states to take a look and see if the US releases have that going on and if not, i will get him to pick me up a set to display MIB.

All four 1980's Ghostbusters have been found at 2 Ontario Walmarts. Keswick Walmart and the Markham Walmart on Major mac and Bayview.

I guess they raised the price. When I picked mine up they were around $25.

I saw the female figures from the new movie this weekend at TRU if anyone is interested in those. They were hidden on an end cap facing a wall LOL. I left them all hanging there, they had two full sets plus the 3 light up ghosts and some blind bag figures.
