I agree. Jonathan Pryce did well acting as a serious president, a captured president and Zartan's smarmy self as president. He must have enjoyed playing that role.

Two weeks in:

Domestic Gross = 87 million
Foreign Gross = 145 million
Total = 232 million

It might surpass the box office take of the first film based upon internation audiences but based upon these numbers I suspect this is not even going to approach to domestic number(150 million) that the first film made.

I hope they learn from the mistakes they made with this one(like alienating the entire female audience base that the first film had) and get their act together for next time.
