It's just a matter of buying these in person, as opposed to blindly ordering online.

Most of the Lightning Collection 2packs have ended up in Toronto retail.

TRU got the Tommy/Putty. EB got the Rita/Zedd. Comic stores had the Leo/PsychoRed. And I found the SDCC Jason Twopack at Hasbro's Fanexpo Booth last year.

The Putty 2pack and Zordon/Alpha haven't arrived in Canadian stores yet though.

The pandemic is going to delay things inevitably.
The only figures I'd ever gamble on ordering online and not in person are the short cased female rangers or chase figures like MMPR Blue. Black, Green.

They found a new way to get money from the hardcore collectors. Looks like Spectrum box exclusives are gonna be a regular thing now for all future Lightning releases.

It doesn't cost much for Hasbro to make these new boxes, but apparently the retail price on these is higher than the standard versions.

They are really pulling out all the tricks for this line.

lol....this just reminds me of collecting holographic trading cards.

Definitely not worth the extra money if that's their plan/purpose. I've tossed my boxes, as I have no intention of reselling....only kept box for the Drakkon Evo 3.

You've GOT to be kidding me. Hasbro is such a scummy company. I could understand variant packaging as Hasbro pulse exclusive or something MAYBE but as a RETAIL exclusive. Lol...just lol. Hasbro is showing its true colors now and it scares me what else they may have in store for this line.

Don't US collectors hate target anyway? I always see complaints about availability, sometimes in store but especially online. This benefits no one lol.

Re: Hasbro Power Rangers Lightning Collection Line

Well it only benefits people like me, who dislike the boxes and always open everything. These figures are made to be posed IMHO. So having extra spectrum shipments ups the likelihood of us finding these figures in Canada. TRU has a history of getting Target exclusives.

For Mind On Card collectors, this will suck.

I don't really see the issue here. I keep the figures in box, so I'm more than happy with the regular white boxes that we have.

The likelihood of people double-dipping for new boxes is low.

US collectors starting to like Target this year though cause they have been consistent with getting product in. From every US hunt video I've seen dudes rarely ever strike out at target all this year.

First reviews of the 2packs;

IMHO it's looking like the SPD 2pack is actually the better of the two, despite having less popular characters.

D-Amazing kind of selling me on buying it.

D-Amazing sells me on nearly every figure once he starts posing around the figures like the undisputed GOAT he is. It's why I have to have a nice balance between D-amazing and Anthony's customs. Anthony saves me money, D-Amazing makes me spend it.
