Re: Hot Toys or other 1/6th goodness that makes our wallets cry

Been a long time since I bought a toy. I'm mostly out of the toy scene now, just have a couple toys I buy a year now. Very nice figure. (Sorry that the photos are sideways. Too lazy to fix them).

Re: Hot Toys or other 1/6th goodness that makes our wallets cry

So clearly I haven't been active on this thread (yikes! November)

But here's a rundown of some of the latest and greatest coming out!

Winter Solider Figures

And a pesky FA Cap Costume that was an exclusive with SS

Of these, I P/O Winter Soldier, the Cap Set (which also comes in a stand-alone set with just Captain America) and eventually (Falcon)

Re: Hot Toys or other 1/6th goodness that makes our wallets cry

Hot Toys seems pretty confident with Guardians of the Galaxy for planing to release all the main characters.

I also pre-ordered the Stealth suit Captain America set. Didn't expect to like the suit so much. At first it felt weird that Cap would ditch the Avengers suit since it holds a sentimental value for him after Agent Coulson's dealth. But now that he's not dead I guess it no longer matters.

Re: Hot Toys or other 1/6th goodness that makes our wallets cry

So I'm finally getting in the Hot Toys game (getting Reeves Superman and West Batman for my 40th Birthday this week). I'd love to have a detolf to display them in, but there's no IKEA near me and to have one shipped actually cost more than the actual cabinet. Does anyone know if there is a detolf like cabinet that's at a similar price point?

I think if you have no ikea your best bet would be craigslist, you might even come across something slicker than a detolf if your patient.

Funny you should ask. I thought for sure there was an ikea in Nova Scotia (I'm in NB). Turns out there isn't one. There is, however, a JYSK. The Saga Cabinet looks to be basically the same as the detolf.
