So at which store in Montreal did you find the Star Lord? Would love to pick one up without wasting a ton of gas driving around to all the Walmarts.

Saw the new GOTG V3 Cosmo BAF Marvel Legends at TRU today and they're in line with Walmart and Gamestop at $35.99 each.

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

I wonder if someone in TRU management finally got the message that their pricing was too out of whack with their competitors.

Sitting on product with a $5+ mark up over your competitors probably isn't a sound plan for long term survival. Of course if the rumours are true about Hasbro looking at a possible 10%-12% price increase over the next year I guess it will be a moot point anyway.

Too bad, shock of shocks, they don't do the reverse with price drops that they do with price increases. I mean when they increased prices, it was applied nearly across the board, even on older product that should not have been increased. However when prices drop, surprise, surprise, the older product stays at the inflated price.

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

Probably trying to re-coup most of the cost they paid to buy TRU

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

Too little too late unfortunately for TRU stores around me though. Most already pulled a significant amount of their Legends and barely carry them now since no one was buying at the inflated price. I literally have no reason to walk into a TRU anymore even if it's just to window shop.
