Anyone pick up the classic GOTG Star Lord yet? (not the MCU version)
I had a $20 Walmart gift card I won and found him in store the other day so I decided to splurge. Hey a $16 ML is much better $36.
Man I have to say that he is a pretty damn great figure. His colours really pop and contrast really well. His accessories work fine and he really does look like the comic (and he looks awesome).
My only two concerns are his head and his wrists/hands. His head sculpt is great, but the paint application on his exposed skin area is a bit wonky, for lack of a better word. It seems like the molded plastic was blue and they painted the skin tone on top. However it seems like the skin colour doesn't quite cover the blue completely and it looks like it might bleed through a bit over time.
Second his hands/wrists seem a bit fragile. Granted that is the case with a lot of figures, but I really was worried about breakage so I heated them up a bit before switching them in and out.
Overall a great figure, and I love me some 70s looks for characters. Is it worth full price? If you really love this version of Star Lord, then yes. If not, then no.
