SilverHawks Super 7 discussion

So I just wanted to put out there that Brian Flynn at Super7 confirmed Silverhawks in an interview with Pixel Dan.

He confirmed Reaction and Ultimates versions. 2-3 months before anything is shown/pre-orders.

For Ultimates he mentioned that they won't be vac metal due to the fragility and restrictions on joints because of the process. Instead they were going with a metallic paint, which kind of gives them the cartoon look.

For Reaction he hinted there is a better chance for Vac Metal due to the limited joints/articulation.

Re: Thundercats Super 7 discussion

Oh and based on Thundercats here is my guess for wave 1:

Quicksilver- (team leader of course has to be in wave 1)

Mon*Star- (base form, ala mummy Mummra) with of course transformed Mon*Star in a later wave.

Steelheart - since Silverhawks is such a sausage fest, might as well get the lone female out of the way first. Also she and Steelwill are fairly nondescript compared to the rest of the team. So split them up in different waves and let other characters be the spotlight characters.

The last choice is a toss up, but I would go with either Mumbo Jumbo, or Mo-Lec-U-Lar. Both are crazy enough looking to draw interest.

I will be interested to see what accessories they include, outside of the bird companions, and "masked" heads of course. Bluegrass is easy, but I haven't seen the show recently so I can't remember a lot of special items that could be included.

Definitely not a fan of the new $55(US) price point, but not surprised.

I liked the show but never had any of the toys.
I don't like this line enough to spend that much on these figures personally.

WWWHHHAAAA???????

What, are you to good for Silverhawks? Ooohh, excuse me mister wise spender. Mister watches his money and makes sound decisions not based on immediate gratification.

What? You think your better than me?

I understand completely. I always loved Thundercats and Silverhawks, but they were always second to GI Joe and Transformers.

However I have a ton of GI Joe and Transformers, and the options to get that stuff at retail, or even the secondary market is vast.

Comparatively Silverhawks and Thundercats are fairly overpriced on the secondary market. Also there has been zero Silverhawks presence since the original toyline, and Thundercats had the aborted 2011 reboot line, and other aborted attempts at the original cast since then.

So while I'm no fan of the pricing I will, for now, support the lines to get nice modern updates. The downside is that I'll probably have to be selective with the new pricing. Although I have cut back on other lines already so that helps.

It also helps that general retail is now at $33 for 6" figures and only going up from there. Takes the sting out a little.

Fwoosh covered pretty much all of Super7's Ultimates lines with Brian Flynn.

Silverhawks is near the end, briefly. Apparently Monstarr is going to be huge, and their most expensive figure to date (from Ultimates cartoon lines). Should be awesome to see pics. Possibly up for preorder in June/July.

Super7 Twitter account posted this ∆

We should be seeing something about wave 1 very soon.

That Tally Hawk looks incredible. Not so happy about the colour on the arms holding him. I know that Super7 said they can't/won't do VAC metal paint due to chipping/rubbing. So I wasn't expecting that, but I was hoping the colour would be more silver than this picture is currently showing.

I guess it is wait and see the full reveal before makingy final judgement.
