Re: The LEGO thread

That's because the Bricks & Blocks stores that we have in Ontario (Cookstown, Kitchener, Windsor), are NOT
official LEGO stores & do NOT have the LEGO logo in their name, hence they will not show up on LEGO.com.

Re: The LEGO thread

Has anyone in Winnipeg seen the two 5$ Pirates sets anywhere still? I really, really, really want those two things even if the price to pieces ratio is a tad off kilter in some instances. (I'm looking at you 5$ Space Speeder from Space Police III. )

I remember when sets of that size were 1$, one friggin dollar, man inflation really stinks.

Re: The LEGO thread

TRU has Space Police and Bionicle 20% off this week, starting Oct 9 and ending Oct 15.

Great if you're interested in getting the bigger stuff at a reduced price, even if it is only saving you a couple of dollars. Not so great if you get the smaller sets, which would be cheaper to get at Wal-Mart, Zellers or Real Canadian Superstore.

I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned in the news, but then again maybe it has, just thought I'd donate a heads up for collectors of Space Police and Bionicle that haven't already purchased every single item.

Re: The LEGO thread

My opinion of the Atlantis Theme is... AWESOME!

So far I've gotten the two smallest sets, aside from the impulse sets, which I didn't have enough cash for.

The Crab set is great, for 10$, and the Wreck Raider set with the new Atlantis Shark Warrior Mini-Figure is a nifty little 13$ set. I'm highly impressed by what I've seen of this theme, although I'm curious, what exactly are the Keys supposed to be used for?

I also really dig the Power Miners, and I thought I wouldn't, hopefully I'll be able to pick up a few more sets soon.

Next month I'm getting the 20$ Atlantis set with the Shark, here's hoping it'll be just as impressive.

I actually picked up a select few Power Miners sets, and they are AWESOME!
I also picked up the two Atlantis Impulse sets, the $20 Seabed Scavenger, the Crab set, as well as the Wreck Raider.
So cool.
