So it appears my local EB Games allowed me to pre-order the Red Sith Trooper so I did. It is SKU # 748239.
The other 2 Fan Expo Exclusives Boba and Obi-Wan were a no go.

Got my Palpatine today, and man oh man what a great figure! The detailing on his 3 heads are all gorgeous, his accessories are fun and he’s a good balance of plastic and soft goods. Really loving him so far.

Not sure. Never grabbed the original, but from what I’ve heard better head sculpts, more soft goods, and of course the throne is new. Lightning hands too I believe.

Got mine today. Comparing to old release:
- Better heads/faces x3.
- Outer soft robe looks exactly the same.
- Body underneath looks exactly the same.
- Lower body plastic has been updated to a soft goods cloth robe and a thin plastic belt, so that he can now sit.
- Same cane.
- New Throne x1.
- New Lightning Hands x2.
