I’ve heard enough horror stories from people who have ordered on here to actively avoid them.

If the items are in stock - no problem! I think the main issue people were having is pre orders being fulfilled in a timely manner.

I haven't had any issues the few times I've ordered.

For me, $99 free shipping and a "Pile of Loot" feature offset a lot of the reported "customer service" problems.

No if the items are in stock, it's no problem, however a lot of the time Pre-orders can take a long time to get to you, but yeah pretty good service if the items are there

I actually like them, they don't actively try to screw any one around, it's just dude has a smaller shop, and they don't like to order assorted cases, they order cases of solid figures so it takes longer for them to get those cases, rather than if hey just got assorted standard cases

I order from Northmen and have nothing but good experiences with them. I have received pre-order 1 month after it has been out in retail. or like today I received a pre-order before it has been spotted in retail.

I would recommend them. I was worried about trying Northmen from the reviews I "heard" but I don't think those horror stories are truly honest. But I guess everyone has different experiences, and mine have been great. And I have ordered at least 5+ times now.

Head on over to Cybertron.ca and find the thread there that included the owner and his wonderful words. While your experiences have been positive when it goes bad... It's very bad.

I have also had great service if the item is in stock, and poor to the point of having to remind them for pre orders

Don't bother pre-ordering anything from Northman as there is a 50/50 chance that you will actually get it. Then, when you try to cancel the stuff he will charge you a re-stocking fee for something that he never actually had in stock. To top it off, IF you get some pre-orders partially filled and refund the others, you need to buy more things to be eligible for the free shipping again.

If you complain he will never take any responsibility and blame it on distribution.

Oh, did I mention that you have to pay in advance?
