Doesn't appear yet, but if it follows the regular pattern, this will be the link when they put it on .ca.

So is this the new price for TVC at Toys R Us?

https://www.toysrus.ca/en/Star-Wars-.../844FAA2B.html

Bargain at $31.99!! Build your army of Revas!!

By my math they're using a 1.89 exchange rate.

It seems to have become standard practice by those Putnam Putz people in charge that anytime they do a major overhaul of the chain e.g. installing HMV into their stores, they make the consumers pay for that expansion by raising their prices to idiotic levels.

I can't wait until Putnam installs a Woolworth and BiWay into my local TRU (sarcasm).

It's amazing. I get it if they want to raise prices a nominal amount to offset costs for whatever, be it renovations, or other things, but this is at a comically absurd level. Except I'm tired of the joke. I really do wonder, though, how their prices compare in other categories. I had heard that it was baby's r us that kept their business afloat for a while, particularly when TRU in the US went belly up. As a parent whose kid has now aged out of babys r us and toys r us too for that matter, I used to buy baby/toddler stuff from TRU. They weren't outlandishly expensive (though pricey and you had to wait for a sale). But charging at an 89% exchange rate, or about 50% above SRP, that can't be happening across the board on all their product, can it? At this point it is cheaper to import from the US. Especially with the free shipping from pulse at $75 (though I wonder how long that will last).

Re: Star Wars Vintage/Retro Collection

Has anyone here ordered the E-Wing? I'm still on the fence and I think I only have a few hours left to decide.

Almost thinking of ordering and just cancelling before it ships if I change my mind.

It's very tempting, although I recognized that I would be mostly interested in it for the retro Kenner astromech moreso than the vehicle itself. I hope they sell that droid as a standalone figure eventually.

Of course they will.

I caved and preordered.

I always liked the E-Wing design and I had the Action Fleet version for many years before selling it for more than I am paying for this version. So I'll tell myself it works out in the end........"yeah that's the ticket"
