New Hobbit Action Figures Released in Canada

Thanks to AFN member pandaprime we now know that some of the new merchandise for the upcoming Lord of the Rings Prequel, The Hobbit, has been released at Canadian Retail.

First figures sighted include Legolas, Gandalf & Thorin Oakshield. As well some figure and beast packs were spotted. The initial sighting was made at a Toys"R"us in British Columbia.

Wonder if these are done in the same style as the LOTR figures

Thye kinda look like they are, but it might be decieving. It is a different company.

They're not. They look much better than the Toybiz crap.

I saw these today as well. I'm mighty tempted to pick up the 3.75" Gandalf, he looked surprisingly good.

Agreed. Articulation was a little hampered at times, but that was only because of the armor or the cloaks. Some of the figures in the Toybiz line were absolutely amazing...though some did suffer from plastic ass-face. I remember a Legolas in particular that looked like someone smacked him in the kisser with a shovel. Still, overall, I think the Toybiz line was awesome. Haven't really seen anything from "the Hobbit" line yet, but hopefully it holds up to Toybiz' quality.
