Same. After the investment in time, gas-money and exchange rate, I wonder if would even be that much of a savings
Doubtful. Plus retail is such a crap shoot these days the odds are pretty good you won't find anything worthwhile. If I have another reason for crossing the border I'll check stores out when I'm over there but I wouldn't make a trip solely hoping to find a few items at stores there. Especially when it costs $9.25 each way just to cross the dang bridge.
I went to the Ollie's on Telegraph Road just south of Wick Road. I dropped my parents off at the airport and it was on the way back so I figured i'd check it out. They had a good number of the twins and at least a few Stalkers. Also a good amount of the Snake-Eyes movie figs(shocking i know).
The Ross was on Eureka Road at Dix-Toledo Highway. They had 2 or 3 each of Stalker and the twins. That store was pretty shitty though. Got a Black Series Leia (Boussh) for $4.99, a G1 Retro Transformer Wierdwolf for $7.99 and a Transformers Legacy neon green Hoist clone for $8.99. Other then those they had nothing worthwhile. They had a Black Series Grand Moff Tarkin for $4.99 but I already had that figure.
Thanks man. I might try my luck on Friday. not very optimistic though from what I understand they are going pretty fast
I stuck the wolf's head hood onto my retro card Snake-Eyes so that it'd look like he was wearing a (dead) Timber's carcass on him...
Wanted to also put the wolf's shawl onto Snake-Eyes too but it was designed to fit onto the Snow Serpent with his fur lining so it wouldn't stay on and kept falling off Snake-Eyes.
Got my Chuckles yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the figure was. However, the suitcase handle is too small for his whole hand to fit on the handle.
Has a place on his belt for walkman and binoculars
His casual undercover looks with no weapons
Suitcase opens up and you can put the file folder in there. I'll just use it to store his handcuffs, glasses and headphones as well.
