Tron Legacy Wave 2 Action Figures Released at Canadian Retail

Thanks to AFN member FlightWeaponAlpha for reporting the release of Tron Legacy Wave 2 in Canada. This series consists of Sam Flynn, Kevin Flynn, Rinzler, Clu, Black Guard and Sentry.

Tron Legacy will be in theatres December 17th, 2010, a sequel to the 1982 film Tron.

I saw one of these in the store the other day, thought "Huh, that looks interesting, let's see what this tells me about the character/story or what other products they sell"

I flipped it over and was shocked to find the cardback FILLED SOLID WITH TEXT!

I'm all for multicultural cardbacks, but between warnings and whatever the heck else is on those things, the entire back is covered with text. It's flippin ridiculous! Next time I have my phone with me I'm taking a picture.

I had the same reaction, but wait, it actually GETS WORSE!

There is a large folded-up piece of paper in the bottom of the package with each figure, and I figured the character and wave information with pictures would be on there, right?

WRONG. Basically a 24" X 12" instruction sheet in 15 languages on how to replace the batteries. *SIGH*

At least you can go to this TRON web site for a bunch of character information.

The figures look interesting enought. The light up faces are cool too. when these go on sale I'm buying a couple for sure. Maybe even a couple for kitbash fodder.

Oh wow, really? 24" x 12" fold out on changing the batteries? That's ridonkulous!

Just imagine the poor intern who had to consult the local laws of the applicable countries to ensure the labellings/warnings were appropriate...

I saw these for the first time at Walmart the other day. The speaking faces are kinda cool, Sam Flynn's face looks a bit crazy under his visor.

Saw these at Walmart yesterday, pretty sure not too many kids would be interested in buying these with the movie not being out yet, seems a little early for the launch. Thinking only collectors would be buying at this point.
