Re: Marvel Legends discussion

Found the Bucky/Falcon exclusive TRU set in Montreal. I have no problems with the 47.97 sale price, especially when Falcon comes with his wings.

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

Just traded The Thing for BAF Sauron and he is incredible. Excellent use of the old Lizard body. I'd put it up there with top shelf buck re-uses like Ghost Rider on the AIM body, or Cyclops on the Bucky Cap body. His wing span is crazy!

I've wanted him since they announced him, but I didn't think he'd be this dynamic and expressive in hand. If you're getting too caught up and falling behind on the 4 million Legends waves Hasbro released this summer, i'd say that Sauron is worth a buy if you dig the character, dinosaurs, or are looking for generic monsters to fight your heroes. I'd even go as far as to say that he's the best BAF released this summer, despite being the smallest of his class. The wings make up for it

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

Literally the only problem I have with him is his neck joint. There's not enough clearance for him to look eye to eye with other figures when he's in a neutral standing position. First pic is me popping the head off the ball peg and using tape to hold it in place. Second pic is the stock 'lowest it can go'. I'll probably go in with a dremel to help clear up some plastic so he can look down properly

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

I opened Wolverine from the Sauron wave... uh that extra head is gigantic with the smaller sized body they used. Kinda comical.

Heads up guys. Saw the MCU Thanos 3 pack up on the Previews Shipping list for local comic book shops this week at the MSRP of only 89.99, so call your local shops and see. That is way better than the 149.99 at EB or at TRU.

Yeah it looks big, and it wont fit on the peg for the MJ/Jessica Jones body either. Sort of a missed opportunity.

Yeah, LBCSs can generally undercut the big box stores IF they choose but tend to get the product a little later. I ordered a full case of the last xmen wave at my LCBS, I ended up waiting a little over a month compared to when they released at the big box stores, but I saved big time. Worked out to be about $23.75 per figure, I did take on an extra wolverine and still paid less before tax than what I would have paid for 7 figures at retail.
