HISS Tank:

Re: Haslab Projects General Discussion
No new tiers added to the H.I.S.S. tank, right?

Nope.
I also am more and more thinking that is all they are going to give us. I don't see much need on their part to give us anything else. They still have a couple more days of SDCC to promote it, and then when it is over they are still the only Haslab currently funding.
I really thought ML would start their Haslab after SDCC, but now that it is just a tease the HISS doesn't have to compete with anything else.
So I expect they'll just run out the clock with periodic updates, and just wait to see where it ends up on the final day.

Re: Haslab Projects General Discussion
Then again, another tier could juice sales that much more. What's a few bucks more in plastic if it means selling hundreds, or thousands more units at $300 USD a pop?
In fact, there are many Kickstarter projects that keep adding more and more tiers as more backers join in. If a small outfit like Plunderlings can do it, surely Hasbro can, too.
The real question is if they want to. And while 17,000 units is nothing to scoff at, it still seems pretty small for a company like Hasbro. Plus, you'd think they'd want to do as much as they could to wash out the stain of TWO back-to-back HasLab failures from the Star Wars team.
But what do I know…?

Re: Haslab Projects General Discussion
The Marvel Legends team teased an upcoming Ghost Rider HasLab. I don't really know or care much about Ghost Rider, so I almost certainly won't be backing it, but I'm curious if anyone has an idea of what it might be?

In the tease you can hear the sound of a car engine, and most definitely not a motorcycle engine, so it is probably Robbie Reyes and the Hellcharger.
I mean there really isn't anything big enough with the previous Ghost Riders to warrant a Haslab by themselves outside of the Hellcharger.
Personally I would love a "set" with Johnny Blaze, Danny Ketch and Robbie Reyes, all with their respective rides. However that seems very unlikely. Since the HISS is going on right now, and is $300US, the Hellcharger makes the most sense since it is a good size equivalent to the HISS.
The question becomes what are the tiers going to be to try and make this worthwhile to whatever price they are going to ask for this project.
I think it will be Robbie and the Hellcharger as the base offering, hopefully with flame effect pieces and lights (and maybe sounds). Then the tiers will probably be more figures of characters that probably would never see the light of day at retail for whatever reason. People are speculating that the ML team may try and squeeze Mephisto into the set as a way of getting him made, and drawing people to the Haslab.
We'll probably find out what is involved during Pulse Con in a few months.

Re: Haslab Projects General Discussion
Thanks. Yeah, none of that is up my alley, but makes sense, and good to know.
Now, if someone would do a 1:12 Batmobile from The Batman, I would back that in a second!

Someone took a pic of the Hasbro booth yesterday and they had put a chain with tools on either end (hammer & crowbar) which is from the comics with Robbie Reyes as Ghost Rider. So that is pretty much 100% confirmation that the Haslab will be, at least, Robbie Reyes and the Hellcharger.

HISS Tank:
17,102 / 8,000 (+80) So still chugging along in the high double digits for daily increases. Looking good for a nice push at the end.

Re: Haslab Projects General Discussion
Update:
HISS Tank:
17,177 / 8,000 (+75) So another day of 70-80 more backers. Maybe this is the range it will settle at for the next few weeks. However I think it might be a bit lower. I guess we'll see soon enough.
