Not quite...

- Season 1 premiered June 10, 2016

- Toys were announced Fall 2016

- Preorders for U.S. retailers (ToysRus, Amazon) opened December 1

- Toys were released in the days leading up to Christmas, with an official street date of January 2017

- Now we're in March - Walmart and ToysRUs Canada are getting ready to sell these toys

From Fall 2016 to now, we haven't really waited that long for these toys to be released. We're definitely later than the U.S, but what else is new?

Haha yes! "Only took them a year" is too close to the truth but incorrect enough to be called out on. Also when it's text on the internet, it's hard to pick up on those nuances.

I hope they arrive soon for Canadian collectors - will post sightings should I come across them.

Voltron lion limb toys were just recently sighted at a Quebec WalMart so they are coming, we just need to be a little more patient.

I do like the look of the lions. Not so much the combined mode. Anyone know how many options there are in terms of scale and quality?

As far as combining lions, that's your only option thus far. There's a non-combining but show-accurate Voltron, though. Wave two will bring along a smaller, die-cast combinging Voltron that's basically a scaled-down version of the large ones though with seemingly better articulation. http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/p...15&mode=retail

Found all 4 combiner Lions at Walmart. Now I just need the Black lion which is all sold out. Red, Blue, Yellow and Green cost $24.97 and Black will be $44.97.
