You make it sound like they make the toys too. They're bound by distribution that Hasbro decides, and we live next to a very large market that takes a good slice of that pie last I checked.
Almost none of this is Toys R Us' fault. If anything i'd rather have a company fill their orders to what they actually receive instead of Amazon who sells you hope with 10000 preorders only to disappoint you when they actually only get two.
