Re: Star Wars Black Series discussion

100% everyone has a tipping point. But people tend to dig a little deeper sometimes in their wallets and Hasbro knows this. As for needing something to discuss I'm not referring to having something to discuss it's more the cookie cutter conversation that takes place with each increase. It's like being in a rocking chair sure it gives you something to do but in the end you don't really get anywhere

Re: Star Wars Black Series discussion

Again, fair point but you have to keep in mind all these price increases are happening during a pandemic. I don't think the price increases would have bothered people as much if it came before or after Covid. I don't remember too many people complaining about the price increase to $30 in Canada back in 2017 (correct me if I'm wrong). This leads me into another point. I'm interested to see how Hasbro and other companies sales are affected once the world goes back to normal. Hasbro and others were able to pump out a TON of product for a little over a year and a half. Will they slow down with how much they put out annually cause people will be spending money going out again? will people that started collecting due to Covid drop collecting entirely? will the price increase have an impact on their bottom line? hmm..

The Hasbro price increases have definitely pushed me more towards McF DC as a more worthwhile line to collect.

Their upcoming Reverse Flash looks fantastic, and I suspect that Gold Edition King Shark will be a popular one. Thus far, no signs of a price increase from them.

I'd be more into MCF DC if they did more classic looks of characters. I really wonder how Todd can keep his prices down and product on shelves..

Kind of redundant, really. I could have just left it at "it's Walmart."

So Canada got one opportunity, (from what I remember), to pre-order Mando and the child, but Target is selling their overstock to a store that can sell them for $10 USD.

I dislike this hobby sometimes.

I did find mine at a local Toys R Us. But honestly only saw him the one time.
