Has anyone who picked up Appo compared his blue paint to the 501st clones released previously e.g. in that older Entertainment Earth clone multi-pack, to see if the blues are the same?

I know Hasbro has sometimes alternated between a darker blue vs a lighter blue on the 501st paintjobs (at least when they were released in the 4-inch scale).

I called a toysrus earlier today. I told them it looks like darth Vader with cracked helmet. Associate barely understood what I was asking. When I went there they got me a Lego darth Vader helmet.

Cool. So he doesn't look any different from any other Clones, so if I decide to suck it up and buy him, he will be fine for an army builder then? I just don't remember Appo looking any different from any other 501st Clone.
