The reason is that the Canadian dollar has gone from 73¢ US to 83¢ US in the past year. That makes the current price difference seem particularly bad, but Hasbro isn't going to change their prices everyday because of fluctuations in currency rates. In fact, they'll just pocket the difference, and make even more profit. But the point is, it *feels* like we're paying more right now, based on the US price, and we are, but that is only temporary. When the Canadian dollar goes back down, the relative price difference will go down, too.
