I enjoyed it. I was looking for something with killing and it came through.
SPOILERS!!!!!*******************************
The good:
Oleg Taktarov has a giant chain gun. Awesome. Already the movie starts off well. Huge MMA buff here, so only two minutes in, the movie is a billion times better than the AVP movies. For those that don't know, Oleg choked out Tank Abbott in a UFC tournament back in the day.
The second best thing about the movie was that it completely disregarded every Predator film except the first one. Another mark in its favor.
Yakuza guy. The samurai vs Predator fight was kickass. It even had the tall grass, the wind, the thunder storm... Great stuff.
I also really liked the idea of Predators hunting human predators, and the human predators trying to figure out what the Predators would do, by thinking like... predators in general. I dunno. I thought that was amusing.
The fight at the end with Adrien Brody and the head Predator was... interesting. Kind of reminded me of when Flash kicked Luthor's ass in the JLU cartoon.
The bad:
Those dogs. They looked horrible. So fake.
That thing chasing the guy from the 70's show. WTF was that? It looked terrible chasing him. Kind of reminded me of the jackolope running across the screen during America's Funniest Home Videos.
Overall, an entertaining movie to watch when you've got nothing to do.
