Re: Star Wars Black Series discussion

I found this image on eBay of the hottoys Kylo helmet. Might be able to compare. I can measure my BS helmet when I get home.

Re: Star Wars Black Series discussion

the black series helmet wouldn't be able to fit on a 1/6th character with out doing some mods first as the base that it is attached to is pretty far up there

Just what I figured.

Never seen the Hasbro helmets out of packaging, so I didnt know how much modding it would take to hollow it out.

Also just saw that Kmart has another exclusive...Star Killer base Rey w/lightsaber. Yet again Hasbro with no love for Canada grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Doesn't look any different at all from the looks of it? Easy pass.

I like the idea of her and Kylo being a set. The diorama pieces would look good in a display. I would buy them both if they were actually available to us at retail. That being said; I wont go out of my way to buy these on the secondary market and over pay. It just grinds my gears that Hasbro is again thinking that Canadian collectors have no interest in these US exclusives...seems like all/most of the US store exclusives are available at TRU in China so why not here?

...Hit me with an angry meme!

I don't think it's Hasbro necessarily. The stores have to want to buy them.

Who knows? Could be a little from colum A and little from colum B?

From a personal outlook I see no reason why TRU, Walmart or any other big box store in Canada would turn down setting up a PO for these exclusives. The line is obviously selling well because as soon as a new wave hits the shelves they are bought up within what seems like a 24 hour window.

If TRU internationally (ie China) can sell Kmart, Target, Entertainment Earth etc exclusives, why should we be denied retail access to these figures when these stores have no presence in this country?

For example Hasbro has given exclusive rights to retail stores such as Walgreens and Kmart, both of which to my knowledge have ZERO retail operations outside of the United States, so why not approach a Canadian retailer like Loblaws and offer to make exclusives available to their sister companies (examples: Shoppers Drugmart, Real Canadian Super Store)? I know an agreement has to be reached between two companies for a PO to actually be placed, but I genuinely feel like Hasbro hasn't made an effort to do so because I'm sure someone would have snapped up the chance by now.

...again only my opinion.
