And for anyone who wants to compare the Nightwing in this wave to the original comic-based one released in the first wave of McFarlane DC figures, here are the pics side by side.

The Titans wave version looks like a completely new scupt.

My pet peeve, I do prefer Raven having 2 head sculpts so one can have the hood on and the other hood down.

Re: McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse toyline

I'm assuming this is their recent looks right? Because they don't resemble much any rendition I know

EDIT: Just saw the explanation on the previous page, thanks

These are very recent looks. I do wonder if Mcfarlane is going for way too narrow a target audience. More fans will know the george perez looks, even new fans who want to read the classic stories of their favourite heroes.

George Perez's Teen Titans look hasn't been "mainstream" for decades. If anything I would argue that more fans would recognize the Teen Titans looks from the cartoon shows, and recent comics before their original looks.

Granted older fans would probably be good with the original looks, but for a retail line I think more modern looks are warranted first, then after that go with classic looks.

Also this is Todd McFarlane, and so far with his DC Multiverse line he has shown an inclination to go heavy on recent looks/storylines for waves with some classic looks/stoyrlines thrown in for good measure. Especially when the look is so classic that it will probably sell anyway (Superman, Batman, etc.)

The original Teen Titans' looks are classics, but I don't think he sees them as classic enough to warrant a wave on their own right now. Hell look at the Dick Grayson Robin he just sold out on his site. That is classic as classic can be, but he still only sold it as an exclusive on his site, on a reused "female" body.

Hopefully I am wrong, but for now I don't see him doing the other Teen Titans in their classic looks anytime soon.

I think your right. I do find it odd that he made that cartoon Cyborg and then just left it as a one off though.

Re: McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse toyline

Well, I managed to get the blue & grey Hush Batman... In Tokyo, of all places! After local tax and credit card exchange fees, it came to $34.49 CAD. So even though I didn't get the Edge discount from GameStop, cuz of their stupid cancellation, I consider this a win, as no way I'd find it in-store in Canada for less.

Preview pic of the Gold Label Beast Boy figure, which apparently will be a Walmart exclusive.
