Re: Hasbro Power Rangers Lightning Collection Line

I can understand why Hasbro went with gold even though it's not screen-accurate. Bandai's legacy variant had the issue where the yellow triangle and the Yellow in the ranger kinda blended in together. In reality, the triangle and the ranger are supposed to be two different tones of yellow:

Yeah you're right, the yellow did look blended on the legacy but it was more accurate than having gold and it certainly wasn't affecting the consistency of the suit designs like the LC one does. She's gonna look really weird on shelf next to the other In Space Rangers, just as Andros will with the white on his shoulders being too low. I mean you could customize them and fix the paint errors but we're paying 25-30 dollars a figure. We shouldn't have to be fixing mistakes they made.

All hail the Pumpkin King. A touch of black paint makes all the difference on this guy.

Like Forever Red, Forever Blue, etc kind of thing..they won't look as bad that way in my opinion.
I prefer an anthology approach for the display. I'm not big on completing teams.. Dino Thunder is the only one I'm tempted to complete

I see what you mean about the inconsistent collars.

Thank you! It’s just Dollarama Brand Crafter’s Acrylic. I used Mod Podge (also from Dollarama) to seal it. Used the same stuff to spruce up King Sphinx as well (his nose, mouth, and hieroglyphs on his chest). Haven’t taken pics of him yet though.

Wave 8 is coming up for pre-order. Listed as March... which means realistically it will come late Jan, early Feb.

Also, will probably be revealed this week.

Shoulders inconsistent too sadly. That's funny about Dino Thunder. I'm thinking about only just getting Dino Thunder Black to go with my white and calling it a day with that team. I don't remember being THAT big of a fan of that season but I do remember having the Dino Thunder Black, White, Red, Blue and Zeltrax figure as a kid so I guess I liked it more than I remember LOL. I'm amazed by how quick they are putting out the DT team. Just did Red and now Blue? that means they won't do yellow for a while then, or if they do it sooner than later they will sit on Tommy and use him to boost a weak wave much later on.

Re: Hasbro Power Rangers Lightning Collection Line

I'm fine with the shoulders if it's just a difference between the male and female figures.

And even though it's not accurate, the gold collar paint on yellow kinda works for me. Reminds me of Psycho Ranger Black having a gold collar for no particular reason.
