I don't know why they didn't just reissue the deluxe Palpatine with throne instead of doing an archive release. Palpatine without throne is kind of pointless. But yet again, Hasbro doesn't seem to like to do reissues anymore unless it's archive or anniversary card backs. Like Rex, Previous and CAD were supposed to get reissues but that went out the window once they announced bad batch and Clone Wars versions of them..

My bet is that since 2023 is the 40th anniversary of RotJ, Hasbro might reissue Palpatine with his throne then, and probably in Kenner-style packaging to trick... errrr, manipulate... errrr, pursuade collectors to re-buy the set again.
It will be a TRU/Target exclusive and will cost $120.

They might even put him with a Luke and removable mask Vader as their pulse box set.

Considering that their PotF2-style boxed set with Old Ben, Evazan and Walrus Man seemed to sell well, you're right, Hasbro could also do another PotF2 "Cinema Scene" recreation with Emperor + Throne, Jedi Luke, and Vader.... That would be a very obvious re-release candidate.
