Re: The Walking Dead TV Series Discussion(Spoilers)

Season 2.5 is starting tomorrow. I wasn't too high on Season 1 but I think they really hit a homerun with the first half of Season 2. I can't wait to see what is instore next.

All I gotta say is that I was quite shocked when Rick unhesitatingly pulled the trigger on the 2 guys at the ends of the Sunday's episode. I wonder if Otis will think better of Rick now.

Rick always turns on the bad ass routine when needed. I think many of those with him don't realize just how tough he is because he is so reasonable.

His action when Shane let the zombies out oif the barn at the half season cliffhanger was something that none of the others seemed to have the gumption to do. I found that scene very telling.

Haha, I should correct myself, I meant Hershel. Interesting that Daryl is catching onto Shane, even surmising that he sacrificed Otis. But it's kind of hard to hate on Shane because he does what needs to be done (at least in that situation to save Carl).

Re: The Walking Dead TV Series Discussion(Spoilers)

Yeah, and I;m confusing Shane with Otis, lol. I've neer been good with names.

As for Shane saving Carl, yes and no. Shane did what he needed to do to save himself there iirc, not Carl. Shane was injured, he wouldn't have made it. He could have handed the meds to Otis who would have taken them back to save Carl.

I really feel like that was all about Shane saving Shane.

Re: The Walking Dead TV Series Discussion(Spoilers)

True, but I'm thinking back to season one flashback with Shane. Where he barricaded Rick's hospital room, cause he couldn't get him out during which the military was performing mass executions (that scene was crazy). And him telling Lori that Rick is gone, so they could keep moving (and probably avoid the run in with the military).

Of course the Otis part, you're right, it really was just Shane saving his own butt since he was the one slowing them down. At the same time, Otis' refusal to leave Shane behind kind of lead to his own demise. Didn't Shane tell Otis to go on without him? (it's been a while...)

Re: The Walking Dead TV Series Discussion(Spoilers)

Im starting trying to figure out why Rick killed those two guys. I turned my heads for a second to talk to my borther, and then I hear bang bang...What happened?

Me personally, Shane needs to be put down. Or go his own way.

Hershel seems to be finally on Ricks side after the bar, I know before Hershel seems like it but, now its just feels stronger.

You guys know the reason why AMC stopped the show after Sophia? I believe, its because they thought the holidays were coming and noone would watch. That, and the new show Hell on Wheels...what happened to that?

Re: The Walking Dead TV Series Discussion(Spoilers)

The fat guy in the bar was threatening Rick and then the guy behind the bar reached for his gun so Rick had no choice but to kill them. I think they basically figured that if they killed Rick it would be easier for them to force the others to show them where the farm is.

And yeah, I agree Shane has done some good things but as the story moves farther along he just seems to be getting more and more unhinged.

I know its being presented in the show, through Hershel, that killing the barn zombies was the right thing to do - but to me that still wasn't Shane's call to make. He needed to show more respect for his hosts and if he didn't like what they were doing he needed to move along. Thats my take anyway.

TV shows always break for the holidays. I saw an ad for Hell on Wheels Season 2 today, but didn't catch when its starting.

Re: The Walking Dead TV Series Discussion(Spoilers)

Just kinda wished AMC gave gave two new episode for making us wait so long.

And as for breaking for holidays, that must be a AMC thing, because most shows I watch dont do that.

You guys conisder getting Walking dead figures, I know this thread is just for the TV show, but Im just curious.
