Re: McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse toyline

With Fwoosh forums still down I guess this is as good a place as any to discuss Todd’s design choices. Now that I have SP Black Manta in hand I realize that Todd went with the Super Friends Legion of Doom design for him. It makes sense in so much as if he had come out during the original 80’s super powers run that would have been the look they would have gone with

Yeah, the new Batman and Wonder-woman go with that style as well.

And yes, it does seem like the figures are packed with a bunch of batman and one of each of the other figures. The waves in this line have been screwey that way.

Re: McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse toyline

Reminds me of the first shipments of Batman ?66. Several Batmans a joker and you were lucky if the case your Walmart received had a Robin. So far I still can?t find Wonder Woman in the remnants of the cases that I?ve found. Has anyone come across her yet at TRU or just the 3 Batman?s 1robin 1 aquaman and 1black manta. No sense hunting if she?s not out there

I ordered both versions of Super Powers Wonder Woman from Amazon.ca. Tired of waiting and looking for her.

While a bit more expensive than TRU I will probably end up going that route too very soon

Re: McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse toyline

Toynewsi.com posted some pics of the upcoming DC Multiverse Platinum 1st Appearance Superman figure.

Unlike the previous prototype pics posted before, it looks like they'll be making the figure's boots red after all.

Is this the same one that was light blue, and has now been changed, or is this an entirely new figure with darker blue and red boots? Basically, are they doing one 1st Appearance Superman figure, or two?

Same figure, but a chase version with the red boots and classic logo. So you order the blue no-boots version and maybe get this one, maybe not. It's the worst version of blind-boxing if you don't like the previous deco.

From the Toynewsi article: "You can't purchase this figure directly but can purchase Superman, as the red boots and classic symbol are a chase variant of this wave"

Re: McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse toyline

It’s the chase figure which IMO should have been the regular release.
