Increase costs at TRU, and drive down profits to avoid paying taxes, and move the money to the distribution arm, where conceivably they're taxed in a more favourable way. I have no proof of this, of course, but it's definitely not outside of the realm of possibility.

THAT actually makes some sense of it, if that is what's happening.

Re: Marvel Legends discussion
Hello All,
I really think we should look at dropping the whole TRU thing. We can just not buy from them and get figures else where. I?ve been ordering from target in the states for exclusives and a lot of the Canadian online toy shops are great. We should look at supporting those guys and stop worry about what we can?t control from TRU. I myself will scaling back in all figure purchases as I don?t want to support this crazy inflation we are seeing across the board. That?s all!

Re: Marvel Legends discussion
Re: TRU prices, I don’t understand why they raised their prices on Hot Wheels basic cars from $1.49 to $2.00 when every other major retailers in Canada like Walmart and Dollarama still have them at $1.50. Something stinks re their pricing and what?s worse is that I sometimes get the sense that Amazon follows TRU. I believe that this was true for TRU sales at least, especially Lego

Maybe post the TRU stuff in the TRU discussion thread. It's a great discussion, but it would make more sense there.

Re: Marvel Legends discussion
Just keeping it relevant to Hasbro.
Not necessarily TRU specifically. I've seen other company lines at TRU maintain fair prices, but Hasbro merch (including ML) has skyrocketed.

Re: Marvel Legends discussion
When I find them I know I’ll have to choose between Symbiote Spidey & Ben Riley. The higher the price the harder it is to enjoy owning them especially Knowing that I spent almost $100 with tax for two legends figures.

I hope you pre-ordered Symbiote Spidey, because it will be very difficult to find him in the wild.
