Very disappointed by this move as well, I was looking forward to the movie. Just for that I will not be watching it in 3D, I'll be going 2D as the director originally intended. I'm guessing they're scared of Amazing Spider-Man, or maybe it's Batteship's sinking at the domestic box office that had something to do with it.

Boy, all that promoting they did just went to waste (various trailers, superbowl spot). What a waste of money, as the hype that they built from it isn't gonna last for another 9 month wait.
