Re: Star Wars Black Series discussion

Black series Kenobi saber had a price error on amazon.ca, went up for pre order at $45.55 instead of $429.99.

They'll cancel it, I'm sure. I ordered a $90 record from them a year ago that went on pre-order for $20 and they canceled every order and put it back up at the right price.

When did the Black Series sabers get so expensive? I got Rey's Last Jedi one from Toys R Us back around the time the movie came out for something like $100 on sale. I know the blade is removable on the new ones but that's a huge increase.

They switched to metal for the hilts and that is when the prices started skyrocketing.

I picked up Kylo Ren's and Darth Vader's sabers on clearance from Walmart for $50 and $75 a couple years ago (2015ish). Then I saw them back up for $200+ and was shocked. Only a bit later I found out the sabers now had metal hilts and light & sound effects.

Then of course the steady price increases from Hasbro just added to the price. So yeah now they are insanely priced.

The more expensive ones are the "Elite" line. They do have more features, and arguably better construction, but it's mostly just a marketing excuse to pump up the price. Maybe they'll release more non-elite lightsabers at the lower price point in the future, but I doubt it.

The Ponda Baba single release and Migs in disguise were at GS today. No sign of the other parts of the wave.

They shipped the client from the wave after this one. It?s a bit ridiculous.

My pre-orders of The Client and Death Watch Mandalorian were in.
Ponda on the shelf.
Nothing for my other pre-orders from the wave.
