Re: Haslab Projects General Discussion
Update:
Ghost Rider: 5,234 / 9,000 (-18) 58.16% of funding with 22d 19h left.
Heroscape: 2,144 / 8,000 (+54) 26.80% of funding with 37d 20h left.
Looks to have been a quiet Saturday with smaller losses for Ghost Rider, and smaller gains for Heroscape. Probably the same will happen today as well.

Update:
Ghost Rider: 5,221 / 9,000 (-13) 58.01% of funding with 21d 15h left.
Heroscape: 2,209 / 8,000 (+65) 27.61% of funding with 36d 16h left.
Ghost Rider is still losing backers, but the amount has slowly been dropping the last couple of days. There is a chance that we could get a positive day soon. Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.

Re: Haslab Projects General Discussion
With almost 4000 backers left to go it would need about 180 backers a day for the rest of the duration, which at this point seems unlikely even with a boost at the end, unfortunately.

These projects can easily double their backer count in the final days.
I think fans have smartened-up to the Haslab concept. They know Hasbro can be squeezed for more content by withholding support till the very end.

Nah it was a poorly planned project
The biggest problem for this one is the lack of perceived value. Remember the Hiss tank backed in approximately 8 hours on day one. The Sentinel also backed in less than 2 days. Almost all the other successful Haslabs backed well before the final day . The only one that was odd was Galactus. That took until the final few days before it finally funded, but it was also the highest ever funding threshold (14,000). Then it went on to be the highest backed Haslab ever (+30,000).
The Ghost Rider project was always a bit of a gamble, but pricing it higher than the HISS was a big mistake, which is clear from the way the backing numbers have been dropping. A lot of what is going on parallels what happened with the Rancor.
My opinion is that they need to do a better job with the base offering. Leaving it up to the tiers to make the value seem to match the price is not a good plan.

That's also the easiest problem to fix. Hasbro sweetened the base offering for the Rancor and Skystriker. They'll probably do the same here.
I just don't think this project has the fan apathy that the other failed projects did. I wouldn't bet against it funding.

I don't know about that.
The Rancor added value, and a much demanded figure to the base offering and it still failed. The Skystriker did the same and funded, so it is really 50/50 so far on if it will work.
The other problem is that they already lost the early bird figure due to lack of interest. So what happens if they add a figure to the base offering? Great more value, but why not just give us the full human Robbie then, instead of just his head and hood?
On top of that, who could they add that would move the needle if Mephisto and Goblin Queen didn't? I don't know enough about Robbie Reyes to determine who would be that knockout figure. His brother Gabe gets mentioned from time to time, but is another (smaller) figure of a human character enough?

Re: Haslab Projects General Discussion
For the past 2 years it's been back to back Haslabs. Hasbro should just chill with the Haslabs for the next while. They've already had 2 failed Haslabs in a row, with a 3rd fail coming soon.

Re: Haslab Projects General Discussion
Update:
Ghost Rider: 5,200 / 9,000 (-21) 57.78% of funding goal with 20d 18h left.
Heroscape: 2,256 / 8,000 (+47) 28.20% of funding goal with 35d 19h left.
Ghost Rider still losing backers, and just about to hit below 5,200 with 3 weeks left until the end.

Update:
Ghost Rider: 5,186 / 9,000 (-14) 57.62% of funding goal with 19d 19h left.
Heroscape: 2,344 / 8,000 (+88) 26.04% of funding goal with 34d 20h left.
GR seems to have settled into a range of daily losses, around the mid-teens. So that may be a sign that things are primed to turn around to the positive sometime soon. However it is still daily losses, so every day it becomes slightly harder to get to funding. Hopefully something happens soon.
