Re: Captain America: The First Avenger Action Figures Released in Canada

Picked up a Winter Soldier, Heavy Artillery Cap, and Parachute Cap. WS is easily the best of the bunch. HA Cap doesn't have swivel wrists for some reason. Though... the tab they added to his shield kind of negates the need for that joint. The red plastic they casted his gloves and boots in looks kinda neon-like. I think gonna have to repaint those parts, I prefer a dark red.

Parachute Cap has swivel wrists, but loses out on the double hinged knees, swivel/hinged ankles, swivel torso, and swivel elbows that the HA Cap has. Though, I do like the smaller shield he has that comes with straps, seems to proportion better with the mold they gave him. I also how like the wings on his mask stick out. Unfortunately the head doesn't really work on HA Cap, beside being a different color, it makes it look he doesn't have a neck.

They're out in the U.S. now, so I would hope that WV2 hits by the time the movie is released, so I'd guesstimate like early-to-mid July.

Re: Captain America: The First Avenger Action Figures Released in Canada

messing around with the parachute Captain America, I found that the figure is to heavy for the parachute to offer a slow decent. So I found an a board member who is selling their parachute so I want to see how 2 parachutes work

Re: Captain America: The First Avenger Action Figures Released in Canada

It looks like the comic shops are getting wave 2 for those can't wait for retail. I picked up a Red Skull from my local comic shop. He's alright, though the skirt hinders the hip articulation and he doesn't have any ankles. Also, he seems to be almost as short as the one from the SDCC invaders set. The paint aps on the Bucky Cap and movie Cap were pretty messy, otherwise I would have grabbed em both too.

Also, I did this mod to give my Cap swivel hands. It works pretty well. Though I do recommend doing the boil and pop method instead tearing him apart dry, it's just easier.

Also here's a comparison shot of the HA Cap shield and the parachute Cap's shield. The smaller one with the straps is the parachute Cap's shield.
