Took them long enough.

I checked a couple times yesterday. Funny thing is I got a call from my local GameStop this morning to let me know they were up for pre-order.

Man the manager at my local GameStop is the best. He does that extra bit to help you out and it really makes a difference.

Yeah he is a bit older than the usual GS employees and he is really on the ball. He is also super helpful and has helped me out a good bit since I started going to his location.

He is really great, so much so that I submitted a complimentary letter (email) to head office. I'll definitely be sad the day he leaves (hopefully not anytime soon).

So I got 2 CGs, a Dusty and Zarana, but if the CG is still available after the weekend I might cave on a couple more, though that isn't likely.

I wouldn't stock up on too many CGs, mainly because if Hasbro is true to form, they'll release an even better version down the road.

It's why I only bought 2 CGs myself. I wanted 4, but I suspect that Hasbro will release one with a Fred face and removable helmet or something in a troop-builder pack next year... so my plan is 2 for now, but 2 Fred-face CGs in the future.

Normally I would agree, but so far with the Classified line there hasn't been much in the way of improvement when it comes to troop builders. The Viper 3 pack isn't really an improvement based on the colours, though the blast effects are a nice extra. The Cobra Island Trooper exclusive was better than the general release Infantry. They might be able to slightly improve on the BAT, but I don't see much need there, and the Alley Viper is damn near perfect. The Red Ninja is ok, and the 2 pack is nice but not necessary.

So while there is a 100% chance of another CG down the line, I don't know that it will be, subjectively, better. An alternate head is nice (no helmet) but not something I personally care that much about in army builders. So for now I think I am good with army building the current CG and not worry about a future release. Maybe they'll do the Shadow Guard version as a later release.

Boy it didn't take long for the Crimson Guard to sell out for home delivery. I was late to the party but was able to pre-order one for store pick-up. At least it gives me an excuse to go into the city for a bit of a toy search. Not that I ever find anything I'm looking for.

If anyone was curious about 1/12 scaled RC vehicles. This is the HG p602 with some Cobra troops.

You cant fit them in driver compartment as they arent squishy like a human but the scale of the vehicle is 1/12.
