Just got a call from my local GS manager, who is awesome.

He was giving me a heads up about PulseCon items in the system. Managed to get all the ML stuff I wanted and..........

The boo part is he let me know he is leaving for another job. NNNOOOO!!!!!! He was awesome and made getting product so easy. It is a shame he is leaving, but I am happy for him to move on to something better for him.

I can’t believe how expensive Serpentor is. They are really abusing us. I might just skip this on principle.

I think Hasbro pretty much knows it owns us long-time collectors body and soul at this point... the HISS Haslab was the clincher.

If we can put up with constant exurberant price hikes, windowless boxes, crappy distribution, QA issues (more to do with Transformers than GI Joe), etc. then nothing's going to change anytime soon.

That said, I'm only in it for about 15 or so more core characters and I hope to break free of this abuse (my abusive relationship with SW and TF however will continue for many more years to come).

Oof my local Gamestop is...yikes. I called and the worker had no idea how to lookup or place a preorder. He asked me to call back in half hour when more experienced worker would be back. I called again and this other worker immediately informs me that you have to come into the store to preorder. I told him I think that may depend on the item. Anyway, long story short I did get the preorder placed by phone. I think. I say I think because he took my phone number, didn't confirm my name or anything, left the phone for 5 minutes and then came back on and said it was placed. The only thing I have is his word, apparently. I will call back tomorrow to confirm when someone else is hopefully working.

I passed on it. Like username Napseeker, I'm only getting some core characters but not one at $130. I'd get out of this line entirely but the recent reveals of Bazooka, Shipwreck and Torpedo are must haves. Even though they're more expensive, I'm interested in the super 7 ultimates series because it's more cartoon accurate.
