I like this but am really confused about the Chopper situation. Did they really just make his head part of the shuttle instead of making a figure? Even if he wouldn't fit in the shuttle well they made the head removeable and could still have a figure. Doesn't feel complete without a full chopper and Sabine.

They should also make extendable landing gear instead of just attachments

Nah it's fine. The head turns and let's be honest here. Why include Chopper when they can single card release him later to get that extra cheddar?

Apparently it was considered but they felt that the removable landing gear would hold up better over time (and hold up the ship better).

Apparently the BMF (Big Millenium Falcon) has a problem with the landing gear and a lot of copies today have trouble with the landing gear holding up the ship without falling over.

Re: Star Wars Vintage/Retro Collection

Have Thrawn and friends gone up for preorder in Canada yet? Haven't seen them on gamestop or Amazon.ca yet.

Not much OT love for vintage at SDCC. Not a single OT item in the pipeline reveals. And the imperial officers leaves me scratching my head. I'd love Motti on a card, but here he is. And why make made up officers when you could choose from so many on screen officers? And the Life Day Chewie would be cool, but will we ever see it in Canada? Probably not, is my guess.

So a pretty terrible showing for Vintage at SDCC this year. It's like they're waving the pretty object (the Ghost) hoping you don't notice how lacklutre the rest is.
