BBTS Shipping

Wondering if selecting 'Economy Air Mail' is going to be USPS to Canada Post for shipping from BBTS. Tried customer service but they haven't gotten back to me yet. Not interested in dealing with Fedex or DHL.

I've always had CanadaPost as the last mile for Economy and Priority mail. You can expect handling and duty fees.

...and if you enjoy peace-of-mind, pay the extra for Priority.

Is Economy Air Mail the cheap option? It ships with Ascendia, which hands off to Canada Post. You will almost definitely pay tax and the 9.95 brokerage fee from CP.

Re: BBTS Shipping

Yes, it is the cheapest shipping option.

Thanks for all the info. Getting a bit expensive for just a couple Marvel Legends figures. Not sure really want to pay $160+ for Spider-Man Noir with Spider-Ham and Gamerverse Miles Morales from Spider-Man 2.

Is there a better shipping option to try to avoid extra costs?

Re: BBTS Shipping

It's usually not worth it for just a couple of figures. Any more expensive option will move into courier realm, which is usually a more expensive brokerage fee.

Anything that moves to CP is always going to be your cheapest option. BBTS used to be hit & miss with getting hit for taxes, but I think since they switched to the Ascendia service it has gotten hit for me every time.

I don't order a ton from BBTS though for that reason - usually only if I can't find something anywhere else.

Re: BBTS Shipping

My most recent shipment from BBTS was Figuarts Green Goblin and Figuarts Spidey 2099 through Economy Air Mail. Got delivered to my community mailbox by Canada Post, no hit for taxes.

I get hit occasionally for taxes through BBTS, but I don’t think it’s even been 50/50 for me lately.
