I remember when these figures were at $14 each. Now they've doubled! I'm thinking of quitting this, ughh!

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

People need to collectively say "NO" to this price increase and withhold from buying. It's the only way to force them to back down on the new pricepoint. Otherwise they'll have to eventually clearance this stuff out anyway to Winners or Marshalls, so hopefully the retailers understand this.

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

They understand that adult collectors are their target, Marvel is the hot property, Disney wants licensing revenue, our dollar is low and this is not far off the US $20 price with exchange. They desirable figures are all grabbed by scalpers. We have to buy the rest because we all want the usually somewhat disappointing build a figure (other than Hulkbuster they are not exactly Galactus or Sentinel imo). If you are no longer willing to collect consider Marvel Select, they are actually cheaper now, bigger, and articulation is improved.

I might actually shift to Marvel Select as I do collect some. I just don't like their inconsistent scale and some of their older figures are either extremely hard to find or won't be re-released again (eg. Mephisto)...

Re: Marvel Legends discussion

Got my Namor from Amazon yesterday.
It came in a bubble mailer which the carrier managed to stuff in my rural mailbox. Very surprised the box was undamaged. Though there was a slightly visible knife mark on the bottom from when the Amazon employee opened the case. Doesn't really matter as I am an opener, but MISB collectors would likely be pissed.
