Re: Star Wars Black Series discussion

Interesting article. I have to sift through my pile of unopened figures to see if I have any of the updated versions and to check what colour my resistance trooper's bucket is.

On a side note, I just saw a photo from a Target in the states that has the massive tie fighter on sale for $49!!! WTF? I'd buy 3 or 4 at that price.

With all their frequent sales & clearance, I find it hard to sympathize when they complain about paying more than $20 for a 6" figure.

That and the fact that they get all the retail exclusives ie: Target/Walgreens/Walmart...2 of which we don't even have stores for and the other seems to get shafted on the exclusives up here.

My Resistance trooper's helmet is also brown, and it looks like I have one of each for the repack Kylo and Rey. I Wonder if these revisions will have any influence on collector value? While the repack revisions are a bit nicer to look at, the originals could be considered "first to market".

Re: Star Wars Black Series discussion

I just came pack from my trip in Hong Kong and all the exclusives available in the US are available in one place... Toysrus. Smaller toy stores have them too at around the same price.

Battlefront shock trooper - $199.90
Kylo Ren Starkiller base - $199.90
Darth Vader (electric helmet) - $199.90
FO Trooper & Poe - $399.90
Entertainment Earth 4 pack - $799.90
Amazon 4 pack - $799.90
(all in Hong Kong dollars)

Due to the size of my luggage, I was only able to pick up the first 3 items.

Interesting, my GF has to go to China in a couple months for work so perhaps she can do a little shopping for me while shes there.

Whats the packaging like? Is it English?

The packaging is in English and other languages. I took a picture for a friend who wanted the entertainment earth exclusive.

So I had a chance to see the 2nd run Rey. Didn't feel it was any better than my 1st run Rey. Kylo was definitely an improvement.

I have both of the repack versions and I find Rey to be the most improved. Its nice to have them both but they aren't so drastically different to be labeled "must haves". I dont expect perfection from mass retail release figures anyhow.

so stoked about Leia and Ben. The 2 imperial troopers are also a welcome addition...too bad we will never see an AT-AT in this scale though.
