I agree 100% , I believe these are more geared towards kids. They don't look like anything meant for collectors.

I agree. I think we forget that they aren't going to gear every line to collectors.

Well, Mattel doesn't seem to think that way. Why else would they held off a few characters like Batman Beyond and Black manta, throw in some additional accessories and make it a Matty online exclusive.

It seems like Mattel is gearing everything DC towards kids and shying away from collectors. DC comics inspired vehicles, Super Friends, Batman evergreen line, Total Heroes, Man of Steel, and the Target exclusive new 52 toon style figures etc.

I'm excited for the batman beyond figure, however at the same time I'm starting to hate Matty and there decision to use DHL and all the other additional charges.

This is a very good question. Does anyone know? Did Mattel silently ax DC/Batman Unlimited and replaced it with these stylized Total Heroes line? I recall seeing/hearing anything about 2014 waves at the previous toy shows.
