Re: Haslab Projects General Discussion

Well the up and down continues with Liokaiser.

For some time yesterday Liokaiser had a final total over 34,000 backers. Now it is back down to 23,553. The up and down is hilarious to watch right now. It will probably be a couple more days before they settle into a final number.

So I think it is safe to say the total is now final. Don't know where that 34,000+ came from but 23,553 seems to be the real total.

So no Liokaiser didn't end up being the most backed Haslab ever....

In the more bad news category. DHL is now on strike/locked out.

Hopefully it gets resolved quickly or upcoming Rattler deliveries might get sketchy.

Haslabs are shipped through Fedex. Hopefully that doesn't change.

Re: Haslab Projects General Discussion

So I'm having trouble wrapping my brain around the Snowcat being the Haslab.........on its own.

Here is my 2 cents....

Base: Snowcat plus Frostbite.
1st Tier: Windchill
2nd Tier: Energon Snowcat Mod & Decals
3rd Tier: Polar Battle Bear

And maybe we get Iceberg & Kwinn as regular releases next fall.

Couple things:

A Punk With Toys did some side-by-side shots of the original HISS and Snowcat. The Snowcat is actually longer than the HISS, and wider since it is a two seater. It is a little bit shorter in height but not by as much as you would think. So a Snowcat, even if just an upsized version of the original, versus a HISS is actually not any smaller.

There was the rumours going around from It's Chad (Youtuber) who had some leaks before that were accurate. His leaks were about the four options being focus grouped for the next Joe Haslab. The Snowcat was mentioned to possibly have a larger rear section that could hold a figure or two like the Haslab HISS. If that were to actually come to fruition then the Snowcat would be massive.

Its Chad also said No Haslab in 2025.

Its not a size issue, though I expect Haslab vehicle sizes to keep increasing. Like, I doubt they would do the Avalanche but.......

Hiss came with four figures plus the retro outfit canopy, missiles, all kinds of extras. Rattler virtually took a step backward there, though its huge.

I don't like the idea of the look being altered to increase its size. They likely won't, but I'd like to see them reinvent the tiers a bit.

Could still release another Battle Bear later with different paint apps.

Oh yeah he is getting roasted over that no Haslab in 2025 thing. However he had the info on the TF x Joe Kup months before it was announced. We'll see if his Optimus Prime/Mobat turns out to be true.

I think the Classified team is somewhat price conscious with Haslabs. Which is why you saw the Rattler get only 3 figures and patches () as tiers. That was to keep the price down on the Rattler, which is a bigger vehicle obviously. I think it might be the new normal going forward that we only get 3 figures in a Haslab and maybe some small thing for a tier. Hopefully not patches.

I agree that I don't see a need for the Snow Cat to get a large troop area in the back. It is big enough on it's own and I wouldn't want that change, especially if it means the price goes up. I really want them to do their best to keep Haslab prices around the $300US mark.
