Re: Marvel Universe Movie Discussion
So I saw Captain America last night:
Thing I liked
-------------
-Chris Evans did a great job as Rogers
-Tommy Lee Jones was awesome
-The Story pacing was great for the first 3rd of the movie
-The moments that Weaving was on screen, he played a great Skull
-The CGI was phenomenal for the shrinking of Chris Evans prior to the super soldier serum
Things I didn't like
----------------
- I felt like the pacing changed after the first 3rd of the movie. It kinda threw me off
- Some of the action scenes were too long
-Red Skull was very underused, but still a great job Weaving
- The CGI in some of the action scenes looked horrible
-There was a very anti-climatic event for a pretty significant part of Steve Rogers' history
Overall, I would rank this below Thor, but still a good effort by Marvel.

Re: Marvel Universe Movie Discussion
Went to see Cap on opening night, but it was sold out.
Saw it yesterday. Loved it
I thought it was better then Thor
Loved all the Easter eggs

Did you catch Jim Hammond (the original Human Torch) at the stark expo?
I thought that was awesome

Re: Marvel Universe Movie Discussion
I saw it last night as well. Very good, though I agree with CTO15 that I enjoyed Thor a little more. It really was the pacing that kinda killed it, left some characterization underdeveloped. Fantastic origin development and first mission, afterwards they kinda fast forward to the last mission. Bucky's demise was a little underwhelming, would have been nice if Cap let out a "BUCKY!" And it would have been nice if they took like 30 seconds to introduce the Howling Commandos during the bar scene. The bookend present day scenes was a nice touch (especially the ending one)
Oh and the Avengers trailer after the credits, wow! That was the first time I saw it. Thor's hair got long and arms are bare, going for a classic look (no helmet still though). Ahh, but the cuts were so fast, could barely keep up with what was shown.

Re: Marvel Universe Movie Discussion
I thought the new Cap costume makes him look thin as well.

Maybe they'll use that same program they used to make him skinny to make him buff.
